Tonight, The Voice Top Eight faced the show’s most dramatic cut of all six seasons!

Three fan-favorite contestants were sent home due to your votes. However, there was hope for one additional performer…the Instant Save saved them!

Who did you save? Who was eliminated from the competition? Read on to find out…

Up first, the show’s resident country rockers Jake Worthington, Audra McLaughlin, Kristen Merlin and Kat Perkins tackled The Band Perry’s “Chainsaw”. It was great to hear all of them together. After that performance, Josh Kaufman learned that he was the first artist into next week’s Final Five.

The next artist that was saved was Team Shakira’s Kristen Merlin! This meant that both Usher and Shakira would be moving into the semi-finals for the first time since Season Four. It also meant Blake or Adam would lose one or more of their team members tonight!

After a special tribute to their moms in The Voice confessionals, Christina Grimmie received hugs from all of the remaining contestants in jeopardy as she took her place in the Top Five. Christina returned to the stage to join Josh, Delvin Choice and Sisaundra Lewis in a soulful performance. I thought that Sisaundra and Josh brought the house down!

The last artist to be saved was Team Blake’s Jake Worthington!

The final four that will sing for their lives were Sisaundra, Delvin, Audra and Kat!

Sisaundra Lewis took everyone to church and made the Queen of Soul proud as she tackled “Natural Woman”. A+ Audra McLaughlin fought for her life with The Band Perry’s “Done”. However, I rather go back and watch Olivia Henken and Stephanie Anne Johnson’s battle. C+

Team Adam’s Kat Perkins brought the heat to her cover of Heart’s “Barracuda”. While she lit the stage on fire, I thought it was time for her to go! C Delvin Choice’s final song choice (Bruno Mars’s “Young Girls) was not his best! I thought that he was screeching too much like a certain Idol contestant. D+

The results are in…the winner of your save is….Kat Perkins! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, AMERICA? I hope Sisaundra gets a recording contract soon!

  1. I missed tonight’s performances. I’m so happy that Christina Grimmie was one of the top five. I voted for her a least 20 times. I thought her performance on Monday night was awesome. It gave me goose bumps. I think she did Lil Wayne proud. I hope she wins.
