It’s night four of The Voice’s Blind Auditions of Season Five!

Before the show began…Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green each scored seven artists.   Meanwhile, The Voice’s reigning original Queen Bee, Christina Aguilera grabbed eight incredible vocalists.

Did she complete her team tonight?  Read on to find out….

Los Angeles native Will Champlin was the first artist to face the coaches.  He hoped to follow in his father, Chicago keyboardist’s Bill Champlin’s footsteps.  Will also wanted to provide for his family.  His robust version of Gavin DeGraw’s “Not Over You” caught the attention of Blake, Adam and CeeLo.  Adam’s complements paid off as Will decided to enlist in his team.

29-year-old Stephanie Anne Johnson wanted to escape her job as lounge singer on a cruise ship and wanted to get back on land!  She inserted soul and Caribbean funk into K.T. Tunstall’s “Black Horse and The Cherry Tree.”   Both Christina and CeeLo fell in love with her vocals.  CeeLo stated that Stephanie she reminded him of Season One finalist Vicci Martinez and added that he heard soul and conviction.   However, Christina liked her conviction and liked the fact that Stephanie woke them up!  Stephanie ended her audition by promising Christina a victory!

Chicago native Sam Cerniglia dedicated his audition to his family.  The 25-year-old performed his version of Michael Buble’s “It’s A Beautiful Day” that caught the attention of both Blake and CeeLo!  The “God Gave Me You” singer loved Sam’s style and vocal range plus added that he transported the audience to a Michael Buble.   While CeeLo wanted to hang out with him, Sam decided to choose Team Blake!

St. Louis’ James Irwin returned after an unsuccessful audition from last season.  He listened to Shakira’s advice on “second and third chances” and he decided to perform R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion.”   His decision to merge soul and hard rock into his rendition caught the attention of Christina and started a chain reaction that ended with Blake turning his chair.  While almost all of the coaches had something positive to say, Adam was the only honest judge and stated that there were some imperfections but was glad he came back.  Because of Adam’s honesty, James chose to join Team Adam.

25-year-old country singer Olivia Henken hoped that all of her years of performance would get the attention of a coach.  Her powerful cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs” grab the attention of both returning coaches.  While CeeLo wanted to challenge her professionally, Olivia decided to join Christina’s team.

All night, CeeLo was unable to convince an artist to join his team.  However, his luck changed for the better when Tampa’s family man R. Anthony hit the stage.  R. Anthony infused his gospel roots to the Script’s “Hall of Fame.”  Meanwhile, 23-year-old Justin Chain overcame a horrible motorcycle accident to successfully audition for the show!  His cover of Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country” impressed the Voice’s country king to pick him.

The final performance of the week belonged to 23-year-old St. Paul native and single mom Ashley DuBose.

She gave the performance of the night with her cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds.”  Her eloquent vocal caught the attention of all four coaches!  Adam stated that her voice cut the room while CeeLo added that she would have made Rihanna proud.  Meanwhile, Christina begged her to join her team.  At the end of the night, Ashley decided to join Team Adam.

Next week, the Blind Auditions conclude!
