Tomorrow afternoon, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé will provide with the two most important things that are needed to have a successful Super Bowl: pre-game entertainment and the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

In honor of tomorrow’s Super Bowl, here are some of the most outstanding performances of “America the Beautiful,” “The Star-Spangled Banner” and of course, the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Backstreet Boys: “The Star-Spangled Banner” (2001)

The Backstreet Boys showed off incredible five-part harmonies when the quintet performed the National Anthem at the 35th Super Bowl.

Aerosmith, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige & Nelly: Halftime Show (2001)

The best Super Bowl Halftime Show of the 2000s has to be this impeccable show.   From bringing rising superstars *NSYNC, Nelly and Britney Spears together with legendary acts Aerosmith and Mary J. Blige, this 11-minute show still remains one of the fans’ favorite Halftime Shows because it brought multiple genres of music together, which is something that Halftime shows lacked for years.

Beyoncé: “The Star-Spangled Banner” (2004)

This year’s Halftime performer charmed the world with her superb cover of “The Star-Spangled Banner” that showcased her vocal range and impressive octave leap.

Alicia Keys & the Florida School of the Deaf & the Blind: “America the Beautiful” (2005)

Before the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles battled for Super Bowl glory, Alicia Keys and the Florida School of the Deaf and the Blind paid tribute to the late Ray Charles by performing a moving cover of “America the Beautiful,” which was accompanied by a video clip of the legend performing the song.

Sir Paul McCartney: Halftime Show (2005)

The legendary singer-songwriter led a massive sing-along that included four of his biggest hits from both the Beatles and Wings catalogues.

Billy Joel: “The Star-Spangled Banner” (2007)

Billy Joel became a member of an elite club when he returned to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” in Miami Gardens, Florida.  Only he, Aaron Neville and the United States Air Force Academy Chorale have been asked to perform the National Anthem twice.

Lea Michele: “America the Beautiful” (2011)

Lea Michele’s pitch-perfect rendition of “America the Beautiful” showed off the Glee star’s impressive vocals and was the only vocal performance that pleased football fans around the world.

Madonna: Halftime Show (2012)

The Queen of Pop delivered the third best halftime show of the 2000s when she collaborated with Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Cirque du Soleil, a 200-member choir, four drumlines and countless dancers to entertain the Super Bowl XLVI audience.
