It’s official!

Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, and FOX News have confirmed that Scary Spice will be joining Howard Stern and Howie Mandel on the America’s Got Talent judging panel this season.

Melanie Brown has big shoes to fill as she is replacing beloved judge Sharon Osbourne, who left the show after a quarrel with NBC.

Here are three reasons, why Mel B is a good choice to be a judge on the hit summer series:

Established name in the Entertainment Industry

Mel B has plenty experience in the entertainment industry. She has sold 75 million records worldwide as part of the Spice Girls and won multiple awards with them.  In addition, she has plenty of Reality T.V. experience as she was runner-up of the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars and has worked on multiple entertainment news shows including Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.

Experience as a judge

When Mel B joins Howard and Howie at the judges’ table this summer, she will bring her experience as an X Factor judge to the table as she has been a mentor/judge for two seasons of the Australian version of the show and was also a guest judge at the Manchester auditions during the ninth season of the X Factor UK.

The Anti-Sharon

While Sharon had a very sweet style of judging, Mel B can be brutal with her critiques.    She could give Howard Stern a run for his money this summer as the show’s most brutally honest judge.
