The Masked Singer has hit its tenth season mark!! For the past five years, FOX’s celebrity undercover talent competition has taken audiences on a roller coaster ride that crossed every inch of the emotional spectrum. Actors, athletes, politicians, recording artists, and talk show hosts have paraded across the stage in elaborate costumes in hopes of winning the Golden Mask. Tonight, host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg kicked off the milestone season by welcoming back several alums. They had a special guest – Anonymouse Mask – join them.

Which alums came back to The Masked Singer stage? Who was under the Anonymouse Mask? Did the panel correctly deduce the superstar performer’s identity? Read on to find out!!

Anonymouse Mask kicked off the season with a robust cover of Heart’s “What About Love,” and I immediately thought of Demi Lovato. It was a fabulous start to the show’s tenth anniversary season. Nicole called her “a pistol” and a “force of nature.” The performer revealed that they were a part of Time 100. Jenny guessed Alicia Keys or Miley Cyrus, Nicole guessed Xtina, and Ken added Lady Gaga.

In addition to the celebration, Nick revealed the most outstanding performances in show history. Peacock Mask (Donny Osmond)’s take on “The Greatest Show,” which cemented the show’s success, came in at number five!

We also relive iconic unmaskings like Gladys Knight, Mickey Rourke, Kermit the Frog, and William Shatner. Next, Rumer Willis (Lion Mask; The Masked Singer: Season One) and Michelle Williams (Butterfly; The Masked Singer: Season Two) teamed up to tackle Aretha Franklin’s “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman,” which gave me Season 10’s first set of chills!

The Sun (LeAnn Rimes)’s powerful version of “Cuz I Luv You” came on number four in the greatest Masked Singer performances countdown. Meanwhile, the Anonymouse Mask put her feet and hands on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Nicole also brought Demi Lovato and P!nk into consideration. They also introduced the newest aquatic member of The Masked Singer family – Diver. He declared that he was the most hated person in the ocean, along with a picture of a cardinal.

Nicole was in love with two performers – Thingamajig Mask (Victor Oladipo (The Masked Singer: Season Two) and the Rhino (Barry Zito (The Masked Singer: Season Three) in Season Three. Tonight, both men performed with Nicole – Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant to Be.” It was a fun performance from start to finish.

While Nicole returned to the panel, Victor relieved one of the show’s best performances – his cover of Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow.” We also met the latest member of Group A – Gazelle. Her guess was the picture of the Gremlin (Mickey Rourke) as a clue to her identity.

Joey Fatone (Rabbit Mask; The Masked Singer: Season One) teamed up with Bow Wow (Frog Mask; The Masked Singer: Season Three) as they sent the audience back to school with the Jackson Five’s “ABC.” Meanwhile, Seahorse (Tori Kelly)’s “My Heart Will Go On” landed in the number two spot in the show’s most outstanding performances countdown. The clues in the pre-reveal package included Nick Jonas-graffiti, Texas, a dinosaur, and a tiara, revealed that the panel guessed this person over the past nine seasons. Robin and Jenny got to Demi Lovato, while Ken doubled down on Lady Gaga. After a royal tribute, we learned about two new characters making their debut this season – the Royal Hen (whose first clue was an international newspaper) and Husky (who had over 10 million hits).

The Monster (T-Pain)’s “Stay With Me” performance was at the top of the list. It remains one of the best performances in show history and the gold standard that many celebrities who put on those larger-than-life costumes aspire to. Next, Nicole paid homage to the show with a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Finally, we got to the highly anticipated unmasking of Anonymouse Mask! Ken tripled down his guess of Lady Gaga. Robin guessed Demi Lovato, along with Nicole and Jenny. Everyone (including myself) was correct…DEMI LOVATO WAD ANONYMOUSE MASK!

The Masked Singer: Season 10’s competition begins Wednesday, September 27!
