Jake’s Take Podcast – CGT Special #3: GRVMNT

By: Jacob Elyachar, jakes-take.com

For the first time ever, Jake’s Take is welcoming some of its favorite acts from Canada’s Got Talent (CGT).

The latest act to visit The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast is dance crew GRVMNT. They are a hip-hop dance crew made from Vancouver, Canada. At a very young age, the dancers trained at Fresh Groove Productions Studios and grew up together under their coaches, Cezar Tantoco and Mark Dogillo.

GRVMNT made their first stop on television, competing on NBC’s World of Dance’s final season, where they impressed judges Ne-Yo, Derek Hough, and series creator Jennifer Lopez. The group made it to the semifinals. Two years later, the dance team auditioned for another Reality TV show: Canada’s Got Talent. GRVMNT delivered a great audition that showcased their fabulous choreography, which impressed the audiences and judges Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Kardinal Offishall, and Trish Stratus. What made the audition sweeter was receiving Lilly Singh’s Golden Buzzer, which automatically took them to the Canada’s Got Talent’s semifinals.

In this special edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar PodcastGRVMNT members Jez Nisperos, Emily Sun, and Lucky spoke about their Canada’s Got Talent audition and shared their reactions as they earned Lilly Singh’s Golden Buzzer.

Canada’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays on CityTV.

You can connect with GRVMNT on social media. Visit their Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, & Twitter channels.
