Over on my Examiner.com page, I have been recapping this season of the Voice.   Now that the competition has hit the quarterfinals round, I have analyzed which teams are the strongest and the weakest going forward in the remaining parts of the season.

The Strongest: TEAM CHRISTINA

Team Christina consists of 29-year-old Opera singer Chris Mann, 42-year-old R&B singer Jesse Campbell, 22-year-old Alternative/Indie artist Lindsey Pavao and 17-year-old high school student Ashley De La Rosa.   The reason why this team is strongest in the competition is that each of them are vocal powerhouses and one of them could easily win the competition.   However, it will be hard to say goodbye to three of them in the upcoming weeks.

Click here to watch Lindsey’s cover of “Somebody I Used to Know:”  http://youtu.be/hCkNfSDzgVo

Jesse stunned everyone with his superb version of “What a Wonderful World.”  Click here to watch his performance: http://youtu.be/vy11EhMrNao

Ashley was in the bottom of the pack but do not count her out of this competition yet, her save-me rendition of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ “Paris (Ooh La La)” was impeccable: http://youtu.be/Yq8JdZr7iCQ

The second strongest: TEAM BLAKE

The country singer has made some great decisions when picking his team. While being the only man on Blake’s team, former Alicia Keys back-up singer Jermaine Paul has continued to prove that he is diverse and remains one of the best male vocalists in the competition.   Meanwhile, Blake’s remaining group members represent three kinds of popular music genres: Country (RaeLynn), R&B (Erin Willet) and Rock (Jordis Unga).

To watch Jermaine rock out to Livin’ on a Prayer, click here: http://youtu.be/JLRO98pKDSU

RaeLynn always brings spunk to her performances and her first live show performance was filled of spunk and sass: http://youtu.be/JPRXCBP9htY

Erin Willet’s “Living for the City” was the best performances of the night.  Click here to watch her performance: http://youtu.be/H-pFT-F4XoA

Jordis Unga delivered the comeback of the season when she performed Heart’s “Alone.” Click here to watch her perform: http://youtu.be/CfpKR98k_4I

The Middle Group: TEAM CEE LO

Many Voice fans may disagree with my position with Team Cee Lo but however I am analyzing the team as a whole.   Juliet Simms, Jamar Rogers and Cheesa are all worthy of being in Cee Lo’s Top Two in this season’s semi-finals but James Massone sticks out like a sore thumb because of his weak vocals.  The only reason why he is on Team Cee Lo is that the ladies love him.    If Tony Vincent was still on the show, then Team Cee Lo could have challenged Team Blake for being the second best team this season.

Juliet’s cover of the Police’s “Roxanne” made her a contender for the title.  Click here to watch: http://youtu.be/BT8QpLBjJt4

Jamar closed the show with an impressive cover of Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way:” http://youtu.be/zrsiBYH-yXQ

Cheesa successfully saved for her spot on the Voice by showing off her vocal range by singing “All by Myself:” http://youtu.be/6FmV2MnuUA8

While he won the hearts of many Voice viewers with his rendition of “Don’t Know Why,” James is the only average member of Team Cee Lo: http://youtu.be/dD1KtmBLLAI

The Weakest Group: TEAM ADAM

While Adam may have won last season, he is going to have a tough time winning this season with the pack of singers that he has this season.   Tony Lucca is the only singer on Adam’s team that is capable of winning this season that is unless former Mouseketeer and Voice coach Christina keeps throwing verbal barbs at him during evaluations.     While Katrina Parker continues to grow as a singer, the only two singers that are the weakest links on Adam’s team is Pip and Mathai.  Both of them have a lot to prove because in this author’s eyes, they stole Kim Yardborough and Karla Davis’s well-earned spots.

Tony Lucca delivered a wonderful cover of Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes,” click here to watch it: http://youtu.be/d9v9hRTVjOk

Katrina Parker successfully proved to Adam that she deserved a second chance with her cover of “Don’t Speak.” Click here to watch her last chance performance: http://youtu.be/d9UXj_12-k8

While she is one of the youngest contestants on this season, Mathai still has a lot to prove to this author in the coming weeks: http://youtu.be/W68XyvAVK4I

Pip tackled the Killers’ “When You Were Young” last week, he was okay but not great and just like Mathai, he has a lot to prove in the coming weeks: http://youtu.be/jKd0Xtxbag0

I do not own any of these clips that are in this article.  They belong to Mark Burnett Productions, Warner Horizon Television and the National Broadcasting Company.
