“My darling @HowardStern.  Money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt, it’s because….”

Sharon Osbourne tweeted this on Tuesday which started speculation that she is leaving the long-running NBC reality T.V. show.

The Talk’s co-host’s potential departure from America’s Got Talent would make this the fifth major departure of a Reality T.V. judge this year.  Osbourne’s announcement would follow Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol exits and Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger’s The X Factor firings.

By the time the season is over in September and if Mrs. Osbourne confirms that she is leaving, Simon Cowell and NBC will be searching for her replacement.    Here are six names that could potentially sit alongside Howie Mandel and Howard Stern.

X Factor Paula Abdul

While Paula Abdul was let go after one season of “The X Factor,” Simon might consider her to be a part of “America’s Got Talent.” (Photo by Nino Munoz/FOX).

Paula Abdul: She has plenty of experience with nurturing talent on multiple shows including American Idol, Live to Dance and The X Factor USA.   Paula has helped Simon Cowell launch the careers of superstars including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert and Leona Lewis.     Simon also said that he still wants to work with her again and he could easily fill Sharon’s seat easily with Paula.

Debbie Allen: Every season, a lot more dance acts continue to advance to the final rounds in the competition.   While all three judges do a great job critiquing these acts, they do not exactly have the best background in dance.  That’s why Debbie Allen would be perfect because she has experience in the entertainment industry and has judging experience because of her multiple appearances on So You Think You Can Dance.

Kristin Chenoweth: The Tony-winning and Emmy-nominated actress has guest judged on both American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance and turned heads in a good way with her critiques and advice to the contestants on both shows.   In addition, just imagine her locking horns with Howard Stern, which would be very entertaining.

Oprah Winfrey

It may be impossible to get Oprah Winfrey to join the show. But if you can get her, she may be “America’s Got Talent’s” saving grace.

Celine Dion: Every show seems to be on a big name hiring spree, in order to keep up with the Joneses, America’s Got Talent should take a gamble and hire Celine Dion. Before she hit the big time, Celine was a contestant in multiple Canadian talent shows.  She knows what every contestant goes through and in addition, the show looks for a $1,000,000 act to headline Las Vegas, so why not hire a current Las Vegas headliner to help Howard and Howie with their search.

Lady Gaga: America’s Got Talent showcases the unique and the bizarre.   Why not have one of the most distinctive names in the music industry help with the show’s talent search?  In addition, Lady Gaga would also bring her massive band of Little Monsters to tune in which would help AGT’s ratings.

Oprah Winfrey: She started an empire that has reshaped the world.  Several of today’s biggest stars would not be where they are without Oprah Winfrey’s support or guidance.  In addition, she would continue the honest critiquing that Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne have already established.

  1. I know that the show would probably need a woman, but I’m going to suggest a different cinderella story. Neil Patrick Harris. I mean COME ON! He can act, he can sing, he can dance, he’s a comedian, and on top of that, he’s a magician. He’s a big name, great for the ratings. He;s also gay, which would put an interesting spin on the show. Plus, Simon Cowell has said he might want 4 judges instead of 3. That leaves room for Paula Abdul.

  2. Janet Hansen says

Roseanne, Betty White and Rosie O’ Donnell are my choices

  3. Paul Peter says

I’m hoping for Betty White. But Oprah, Celine, and Paula are all good choices too.

  4. Patrick Machado says

Oprah wont have the heart to buzz

  5. I want Katy perry and Rihanna to replace her
