It is week three of the America’s Got Talent (AGT): Season 15 live shows!

All of the acts have been performing around the Universal Studio Hollywood theme park, soundstages, and around the world.  Tonight, 11 more acts have the opportunity to impress the judges and America for their votes.

Which act stepped up to the plate? Did any performers got buzzed by the judges (Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara)? Read on to find out…

Up first to face the judges and the virtual audience was Dance Town Family. The dance troupe broadcasted their performance from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All of the dancers performed with masks on, and their choreography was on point and infectious. A-

The Voice: Season 11 alum Nolan Neal performed a song: “Send Me A Butterfly.” Nolan sounded like Bryan Adams during this performance,  and his vocals were superb. B

Stand-up comedian Usama Siddiquee was one of the few comedians to advance to the Season 15 live shows. He had a lot of pressure on him to deliver with his set. After he showcased his ability to portray characters in a pre-performance package, he talked about reuniting with a friend at JFK Airport, and he said, “Usama.” The first part of his set was good, but it was a little awkward regarding club music. B-

Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer Act, W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew, performed on the New York set on the Universal Studios Hollywood lot. They had a lot to live up to after their Judges’ Audition set. I was impressed with the group’s choreography and the way they incorporated the various elements of the set. B+

Australia’s native daughter, Annie Jones, was next to take the stage. The Melbourne, Australia native spent her quarantine starting a YouTube series and cook. However, the AGT alum was able to be transported to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The young performer sang Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me.” I am going, to be honest, I was not impressed with the performance, and I would have buzzed. D+

I have been waiting for drummer Malik Dope to make his AGT: Season 15 live show debut. He was one of my favorite auditions from this past season. It was sad not to see Sofia dance with him like it was seen on the Season 15 promos. He hoped to make his dying father proud with his audition. With the Universal Monsters mural behind him, Malik delivered an epic performance that made me smile. A

Magician Max Major revealed that he was a bartender during his pre-performance package. He finally performed in front of the judges after two performances online. Max asked for everyone in the Zoom audience to provide a marker and paper. He asked them to draw a picture, while they drew Max worked with the judges. He set his watch to a specific time and asked Howie to close his eyes and told him to think of a time (4:00). Max correctly predicted Howie’s time selection; then, he challenged him to find a billboard image. Inside of Max’s envelope was a picture of a sun, which Howie (and the virtual audience) correctly drew. This performance was perfectly executed, and it was worthy of moving onto the next round! Bravo, Max! A+

Contortionists Bone-Breakers were the next act to perform for America. The West Africa trio hoped to inspire their home country and make their dreams come true. Somehow, I was not impressed with tonight’s performance. I do not know if it is their style, or I was too distracted by the graphics. But I would have buzzed! C-

The two-time Voice Australia alum Sheldon Riley was the second-to-last singer to take the stage. He performed in his home country of Australia. He performed a haunting cover of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Keep You Out of My Head,” and Sheldon gave me chills with his vocals. A-

Terry and the AGT judges headed out to the Universal Studios Plaza to see Alan Silva perform. He decided to replicate the move that broke his neck on live television. What I love about Alan is his determination and showmanship. I smiled when Alan flew through the air to Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love.” Then, my jaw dropped when the stagehands brought out the spikes, and thankfully, he did not get impaled! He delivered an impeccable routine that made my jaw drop! A+

Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer act, Cristina Rae, was the final act to perform! The single mother dedicated her performance to her son, Jeremiah. Tonight, she sang Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” While my dear friend, Branden James, delivered a haunting version of the tune during Season Eight, Cristina Rae took everyone to church with her outstanding cover! One of the best versions I have heard! A+

Tomorrow night, Jon Dorenbos returns and five more acts advance to the Season 15 semifinals.
