It is a thrill to welcome the winners of America’s Got Talent: The Champions-Season Two, V.Unbeatable, to Jake’s Take.

V.Unbeatable made their American television debut last year on America’s Got Talent: Season 14. Their impeccable audition earned four “Yeses” from Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and then judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. The group raised the stakes at the Judges’ Cuts and were awarded by sports icon Dwayne Wade’s Golden Buzzer!

V.Unbeatable elevated their craft to the Dolby Theatre live shows and amazed the audience. Fans awarded them with a spot on the Season 14 finale. While the group placed in fourth, V.Unbeatable starred in America’s Got Talent Live! On stage show at Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

While they toured across India and performed in Las Vegas, the Mumbai-based dance group returned to America’s Got Talent: The Champions (AGT Champions) for the chance to win the title. At their initial audition, they received a standing ovation from Simon, Howie, and judges Alesha Dixon and Heidi Klum. They also made history for receiving a second Golden Buzzer (this time from Howie).

In this edition of A Conversation, the group talked about receiving two Golden Buzzers, their AGT Champions finale collaboration with Travis Barker, and shared how they create their memorable routines.

Jacob Elyachar: Congratulations on winning the second season of America’s Got Talent: The Champions! Could you describe your reaction when Terry Crews announced you won?

V.Unbeatable: We had very mixed feelings because before winning this title, we were on America’s Got Talent: Season 14, where we were the third runner ups and were very disheartened. When we heard Terry announcing our name on Champions, it just felt unreal and magical.

Jacob Elyachar: V.Unbeatable is one of the few acts in AGT history to receive two Golden Buzzers on two different seasons. What did it mean to have Dwayne Wade and Howie Mandel press their Golden Buzzers for your group?

V.Unbeatable: It was very unexpected as it’s such a rarity. It undoubtedly boosted our confidence level and helped us perform better every time. It was a dream come true to get appreciation from such great personalities.

Jacob Elyachar: What are some of the challenges that the group faces creating your spectacular routines? How did V.Unbeatable overcome those obstacles?

V.Unbeatable: It was very challenging for us to come back to AGT: The Champions and beat our levels. It was also challenging to come up with new tactics and routines every time we performed. The team would all sit down and brainstorm ideas because each person has a different energy level to match up to. All of the children’s principals, and everyone’s parents were very supportive when it came to attendance and rehearsals. Everything was possible because our whole group of 29 came together for hours of hard work and rehearsals.

Jacob Elyachar: For the AGT Champions: Season Two finale, the group teamed up with Travis Barker for a high-flying collaboration. What was it like working with him?

V.Unbeatable: It was a great experience, and we enjoyed every bit of the performance we did together. We never thought we would get this kind of opportunity in our lifetime and are so thankful to AGT for making it happen.

Jacob Elyachar: V.Unbeatable has performed in Las Vegas and across India. Simon predicted that this group would tour across the world. Where would you like to tour?

V.Unbeatable: We would love to travel across the world and show people what we do. The group would also love to come back and perform on AGT at some point.

Jacob Elyachar: If you had the opportunity to meet with other dance crews who would like to expand their audience by auditioning for America’s Got Talent, what advice would you share with them?

V.Unbeatable: Never lose hope and work hard for your dreams. If you want something in life, then put everything you have into it. Be prepared because it will big sacrifices and hard work.
