Last night, 12 more quarter-finalists had one more chance to prove to both America and the judges (Howard Stern, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum) that they deserved to be voted through into the America’s Got Talent: Season Eight Semi-Finals.

Some acts rose to the occasion while others were engulfed by the Radio City Music Hall stage.

So whom did you vote through to the next round? Read on to find out…

After a recap of last night’s performances and a trip to the Orville Lounge, it was time for the first guest performance of the night.   Superstar rock group Train teamed up with “Bruises” collaborator Ashley Monroe to perform their hit single.  Both of them had strong vocal performances and Train lead singer Pat Monahan stated that he would hire both daredevil Sam Johnson and Catapult Entertainment.

The first result of the night involved singers Dave Fenley and Selena Mykenzie Gordon plus Virginia State University Gospel Choir.   Singer Dave Fenley was the first act to go through to the Semi-Finals.    The next groups to learn their fate were 2Unique, Sam Johnson, Catapult Entertainment and Melody Caballero.   Radio City Music Hall erupted when host Nick Cannon revealed that the dance troupe grabbed the second spot of the evening.

Comedian Tom Cotter returned to the AGT stage with funny and raunchy material that featured a rant against the Olate Dogs and airlines. He received a four-judge standing ovation and thanked the show for helping his career.   After he left the stage, it was time to learn who would be joining Catapult Entertainment and Dave Fenley in the Semi-Finals.

The sibling rivalry ended tonight as…D’Angelo and Amanda sped past an emotional Ruby and Jonas.   Both siblings were very emotional and Heidi comforted Ruby and congratulated D’Angelo at the same time.

Once the quartet left the stage, it was time for the Judges’ Votes.  Heidi stated that she enjoyed John but voted through Duo Resonance.  Howie stuck with his gut and chose comedian John Wing.   Mel B and Howard sided with Howie and voted through John to the next round.

As soon as they announced John getting the final spot of the night, Heidi chose Duo Resonance as her Wild Card pick while Mel B announced that she is bringing back Tone the Chiefrocca, which Howard strongly objected.

Next week, the Semi-Finals begin!  Among the acts that will be competing are Forte, the KriStef Brothers, Collins Key, Jonathan Allen, Angela Hoover and Cami Bradley.
