It is a pleasure to welcome Thinking Critical host Wes Daugherity to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.

Thinking Critical is a YouTube channel that is a gathering place where Wes shares his hot takes on the comic book industry with various superfans and industry insiders. Over the past few months, Thinking Critical has posted videos about a plethora of topics that range from Dan DiDio’s headline-making removal from DC Comics to dealing with cancel culture and how the comic book industry is handling the coronavirus.

Also, Thinking Critical is not afraid to call out creators or industry insiders. In previous videos, the channel called out Brian Michael Bendis for “destroying” the Superman franchise and Heather Antos for not properly utilizing Valiant Entertainment talent.  More recently, he called upon both DC Comics’ Jim Lee and Marvel Comics’ Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski for improving both their communication and leadership structures during the coronavirus crisis.

Critical Thinking has also shared their takes on Tom King’s controversial Batman and Heroes in Crisis stories.  He also counted down some of the best stories from a diverse group of characters such as Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) to Venom.  In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Wes and I discussed upcoming stories from both DC and Marvel Comics such as Batman: Three Jokers and Infinite Destinies. We all spoke about the possibility of the controversial character developments in the X-Men comic book universe.
