I have a lot of friends that will be competing in the CrossFit Games Open and are training for the WBFF Words.

In honor of their training, I have complied another playlist of workout songs that I hope will motivate everyone to success!

Bruce Springsteen: “The Rising

The Boss’ uplifting anthem is a perfect blend of rock and gospel music and the lyrics will help athletes reflect on their workout and get into the zone.

David Guetta and Kelly Rowland's "When Love Takes Over" is the perfect song for the cardio portion of your workout. (Photo property of Virgin Records)

David Guetta & Kelly Rowland: “When Love Takes Over

Once athletes are in the zone, it is time to get their heart rates up! David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s 2009 international dance club anthem will definitely perfect for a quick 800m run or 2000m row!

Shakira: “Loca

If you are doing box jumps, then Shakira’s “Loca” is an excellent track to listen to! It is a short track but I guarantee that you can get at least 20 box jumps in while the track is playing!

Elise Testone I Want It All

Elise Testone: “I Want It All

Two years ago, Elise Testone stormed the American Idol stage with her brilliant interpretation of the Queen hit.  If you are doing a 50 double unders or 150 singles, this song will help you reach your goal!

AC/DC: “Thunderstruck

“Thunderstruck” is constantly rotating on CrossFit 913’s Pandora! It has helped multiple members of my CrossFit community achieve multiple PRs on snatches and front squats.

Guns N' Roses' signature song: "Sweet Child O' Mine" is a fantastic lifting song. (Photo property of Geffen Records)

Guns N’ Roses: “Sweet Child O’ Mine

The combination of Axl Rose’s vocals and Slash’s outstanding guitar riffs will help anyone push through deadlifts or back squats!

Lady Gaga: “Judas

Are you tasked with 100 sit-ups? The tempo of Mother Monster’s “Judas” will definitely help athletes accelerate and push through the pain.

Stevie Wonder Higher Ground

Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground” will definitely help you cool down after an intense workout! (Photo property of Multishow)

Stevie Wonder: “Higher Ground

After your coach yells: “TIME.” You are exhausted and want to spread across the floor!  Stevie Wonder’s timeless song is the perfect way to pull yourself together and begin the cool down process.

I do not own the clips that are sprinkled throughout the article. They belong to the artists and their respective labels.

  1. Asking questions are really pleasant thing if you are not understanding anything totally,
but this paragraph gives good understanding even.
