10. Rachael Leahcar, “La Vie en Rose” (The Voice Australia: Season One)

The best Blind Audition of any Voice series this year has to belong to this 18-year-old Adelaide, South Australia native.  Her enchanting cover of Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose” moved audiences around the world and touched some of the biggest stars in the world.

This performance will give you goose bumps.  To watch Rachael’s audition, click here: http://youtu.be/iVHl3j31pUA

9. Diamond White, “Because You Love Me” (The X Factor USA: Season Two)

13-year-old Diamond White was one of this year’s standout singers that appeared on this season of X Factor.  Britney Spears’ protégé gave one of the best performances of the series when she tackled Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” during Giving Thanks week.    This performance sealed her future in the music industry and received strong comments from L.A. Reid and a teary Demi Lovato.

8. Tate Stevens, “Wanted Dead or Alive” (The X Factor USA: Season Two)

This season’s winner of X Factor USA delivered a roaring cover of Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” that not only showcased his vocal range but also entertained and received participation from the studio audience.  His performance cemented his place in the competition that carried him through to the last stage of the competition.

Amanda Brown Dream On

7. Amanda Brown, “Dream On” (The Voice: Season Three)

Former background singer Amanda Brown’s cover of Aerosmith’s signature song was one of the true highlights of this season.   She not only made her coach, Adam Levine, proud but her “Dream On” wail would have left Steven Tyler speechless.

6. Juliet Simms, “Roxanne” (The Voice: Season Two)

The best performance from The Voice’s sophomore season was Juliet Simms’ unbelievable cover of the Police’s “Roxanne.”  She inserted so much passion and fire into her performance, which made her a front-runner to win the competition all throughout her season.   Despite not winning her season, Juliet remains one of the best rockers that The Voice has ever had.

5. Carly Rose Sonenclar, “My Heart Will Go On” (The X Factor USA: Season Two)

Britney’s little diva showed off her outstanding voice when she sang this Celine Dion hit during Diva Week.   Despite all of the fans’ screeching that was inserted into the performance, Carly delivered one of her best vocal performances and had all of the  “Oops! I Did It Again” singer’s fellow judges flabbergasted.

Melanie Masson X Factor

4. Melanie Masson, “A Little Help from My Friends” (The X Factor UK: Season Nine)

The United Kingdom’s rock goddess and mom of two transported viewers back to Woodstock when she delivered a show stopping cover of the Beatles’ “A Little Help from My Friends.”  Melanie’s performance was not only the best performance from this season of X Factor UK but also the best performance from any Over-30 in any series this year.

After watching this superb performance, I guarantee that you will get goose bumps: http://youtu.be/iuFnHa_s-P0

3. Joshua Ledet, “It’s A Man’s World” (American Idol: Season 11)

Joshua Ledet should have been in this year’s finale along with Jessica Sanchez because of this performance.   I have never seen anyone capture the essence of the Godfather of Soul then the 20-year-old Westlake, Mississippi native.  Joshua’s cover of “It’s A Man’s World” should not only have been nominated for a Grammy but should be inducted into the American Idol Hall of Fame.

2. Jessica Sanchez, “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” (American Idol: Season 11)

While Joshua should have been in the finale with Jessica, the 17-year-old vocal sensation should have been crowned the winner after her astonishing cover of Jennifer Holliday’s monster hit: “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going.”  This performance was one of the best moments that American Idol has ever had post-Saula.

Jonathan and Charlotte

1. Jonathan & Charlotte, “The Prayer” (Britain’s Got Talent: Season Six)

The best performance of 2012 belonged to this remarkable duo from Essex, Great Britain.   Jonathan & Charlotte’s initial audition received 28 million viewers on YouTube but as they got further into the competition, they became global superstars.   Their final performance on Britain’s Got Talent stage gave viewers chills and received a standing ovation from all four judges and the studio audience.
