Central Park will be celebrating pop culture and the Great White Way on October 8, 2017, with the third edition of the Elsie Fest.

The Elsie Fest is New York City’s first music festival that will give Broadway fans access to see their favorite theatre performers and music stars. The artists are expected to perform some of Broadway’s beloved tunes or the latest hits in the pop music world.

Headlining this year’s festivities are Elsie Fest co-founder and Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Darren Criss (Glee, Hedwig and the Angry Itch, and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), two-time Golden Globe-nominated actress Lea Michele (Glee, Scream Queens, and Spring Awakening), and Tony-winning performer Alan Cumming (Cabaret, CBS’ The Good Wife, and X2: X-Men United).

Mr. Criss, who co-founded and executive produced Elsie Fest with talent manager Ricky Rollins, Jordan Roth, and Dr. Sidney J. Stern stated that the one-day festival is a “pop culture cabaret.”

“Being a ‘musical theater fan’ has never been just about loving musical theater,” said Criss. “It’s about loving things in pop culture that inspire it: from the actors, recording artists, and personalities, to the songs—which not only include Broadway and Great American songbook classics but hits from film, TV, radio and the Internet. Elsie Fest brings all of that together in one place.”

Tony nominee Norm Lewis (Daytime Divas, The Phantom of the Opera, and ABC’s Scandal) and singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 & “Maybe”) are two of the special guest performers that will be taking the stage.  Also, Z100 DJ and iHeartRadio personality Elvis Duran is expected to host the one-day concert event.  Performances will begin around 6 AM.

General tickets are expected to go on sale Friday, August 4 at 11 AM EST.  Fans can purchase exclusive ticket packages, which includes meet and greet packages, festival merchandise, and sing along sessions from legendary NYC piano bar: Marie’s Crisis. A portion of the proceeds from the 2017 Elsie Fest will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
