It is a pleasure to welcome performing artist John Quale to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.

America’s Got Talent (AGT) superfans will recognize John Quale as his alter ego: Prince Poppycock. Ten years ago, he stepped onto the AGT stage during the long-running NBC summer talent competition series’ fifth season’s visit to New York City. Prince Poppycock won over the New York audience with his impressive audition of “Figaro.”

After receiving three Yeses from Howie Mandel and then judges Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne, John Quale headed to Vegas, where Prince Poppycock won a spot in the Season Five live shows. Thanks to his outstanding performances of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” John Quale was able to compete in the fifth season’s grand finale, where he took home fourth place. Because of his impact on the show, Jake’s Take named Prince Poppycock as one of the Top 25 acts to ever appear on AGT.

During the podcast, John Quale talked about the behind the scenes process to bring “Bohemian Rhapsody” to life. (Video property of NBC)

Since his exit from America’s Got Talent, John opened for Chaka Khan, Moby, and Taylor Dayne. He also received the Key to West Hollywood in front of a half-million Halloween revealers. Prince Poppycock also cut the ribbon at Bergdorf Goodman’s Christmas windows and appeared at MAC Cosmetics international events. He also headlined countless LGBT pride festivals that range from Portland, Oregon to Norway. John also starred in Il Ballo del Doge, the Venice Carnival’s premier party.

In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar PodcastJohn Quale opened up about his journey as Prince Poppycock on AGT. He revealed how Sharon Osbourne supported him throughout his Season Five run and talked about the struggles he faced working in the entertainment industry. John also dropped one of the biggest bombshells in Jake’s Take history. He joins Collabro and Marcelito Pomoy in accusing Simon Cowell of sabotaging him during his return on America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
