It is time!

The Voice is back for its seventh season!

Superstar Grammy winners Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani are joining stalwarts Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on their quest to the next best vocalist in America.

Did they find any renaissance men like Will Champlin or last season’s champion Josh Kauffman? Or diamonds in the rough like Jeff Jenkins, Michelle Chamuel or Amber Carrington? How about powerhouse vocalists like Frenchie Davis, Chris Mann, Amanda Brown or Sisaundra Lewis?

You are about to find out as the first recap of The Voice: Season Seven starts right now!

Before the coaches took to their signature red chairs, they united on stage and performed No Doubt’s “Hella Good.” With Pharrell on the drums, Adam on the electric guitar and Blake on vocal support, Gwen thrilled the crowd with her showmanship and impromptu call-and-response “Ooh! Ooh!”

As the coaches got to their seats and strategize their game plan, here are some of my favorite Blind Auditions of the night….

Elyjuh Rene (Team Pharrell): The 18-year-old church singer and fashion lover surprised everyone with Beyonce’s “XO.” He showcased a great personality and a nice pair of pipes. Elyjuh might be a great asset to the “Happy” singer when the Live Shows begin. Although, there could be a possibility that Adam might steal him during the Battle Rounds.

Damien Lawson (Team Adam): Wow! Damien’s voice is like velvet! He has an unbelievable powerhouse voice that has just scratched the surface. I felt conviction with his performance and he is going to be a force to be reckoned with during the Battle Rounds (and hopefully the Live Shows).

James David Carter (Team Blake): The former honky-tonk working musician was the final artist of the night and the member of Team Blake. For the first time since Jeff Jenkins auditioned for the show way back in Season One, I got chills from a male country artist. While, I did not know the song that he sang…he gained a new fan! Good luck, James!

Tomorrow, “The Voice” continues their Blind Auditions for Season Seven.
