California 37 (Train)

Train dropped its sixth studio album: California 37 today.   This album showcases more pop rock than ever before.   Train lead singer Pat Monahan co-wrote every single song on this album and he found successes with “This’ll Be My Year,” “Drive By” and his collaboration with the Stargate production team: “Mermaid.”    Train’s sound is stronger than ever and while some fans want to Train to return to its’ Drops of Jupiter roots, this author feels that Train is moving forward and expects to hear several of these tracks on the radio throughout 2012.   Grade: A-
