All the Good Blank Are Taken by Eden James 

Australian-born turned New York City transplant Eden James is gaining an international audience with his superb sound. Eden’s latest album, All the Good Blank Are Taken, features and was co-produced by musicians tied to some of rock music’s iconic names, such as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and Tina Turner. By having these musicians supporting him, Eden showcases that rock music should return to the forefront of today’s current state of the recording industry. Tonight by Ferris Pier 

I love the EDM Music genre, but it has been too long since we had a producer and DJ such as David Guetta, Zedd, and the late Avicii that has excited audiences. One potential candidate is Ferris Pier. As I listened to his extended play, Tonight, some of his music reminded me so much of the first time I heard Nothing But the Beat and Stories. Just like those two albums, Tonight has the potential to be a game-changer for the EDM world. Keep an ear on Ferris’s collaborators, including Aaron McMurray, Claire DeJean, Elle Winter, and Jnr Caesar, who make appearances throughout the album. Bravo, Ferris! A-

“FIVE/SEVEN” by Alexander Wesley 

Alexander Wesley has amassed a following on Facebook to take various Top 40 hits such as Post Malone’s “Psycho” and Shawn Mendes’s “Lost in Japan.” His latest single, “FIVE/SEVEN,” would leave listeners in a hypnotic trance. I look forward to hearing more from Alexander in the future. B/B+ 

“Mixtape” by the Honeyrunners

Toronto, Canada-based band The Honeyrunners offers fans their version of pop, rock, and Americana music. “Mixtape” features a great chorus and superb blues guitar riffs.  B
