Now without further ado…here are the reviews!

x by Ed Sheeran

A lot of artists get concerned about if the infamous sophomore slump will hit them. However, Ed Sheeran does not need to worry about getting hit by the sophomore slump. X (or Multiply) is a brilliant studio album that perfectly blends folk pop and Hip-hop together. The lyrics are superb and the level of production from Jake Gosling, Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin and Benny Blanco is outstanding. Congratulations, Ed Sheeran! X is my Album of the Week! A+

Songs to Download: “Sing,” “Don’t,” “Photograph,” “Bloodstream,” “The Man” & “Thinking Out Loud”

Glorious by Foxes

Music lovers first got introduced to the 25-year-old Southampton, England songstress when she made guest appearances on Fall Out Boy’s “Just One Yesterday” and Zedd’s “Clarity,” which won this year’s Best Dance Recording at the Grammy Awards. Glorious is solid album that cements Foxes’ place in the pop/EDM world. B+

Songs to Download: “Youth,” “Holding Onto Heaven,” “Let Go for Tonight” & “Night Owls Early Birds”

Sarah Darling Little Umbrellas

Sarah Darling’s “Little Umbrellas” is an outstanding country single. (Album cover property of Oh Darling Records)

Little Umbrellas” by Sarah Darling

Last weekend, Nashville singer Sarah Darling made America fall in love with her on Rising Star’s pilot episode! In honor of Sarah stealing hearts of the voters, the country singer-songwriter re-released her 2013 single. It is a sturdy song that features splendid vocals from the country singer. Good luck on Rising Star, Sarah. B

The Chamber” by Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz will be releasing his 10th studio album in September! The Hunger Games and Butler star released his first single: “The Chamber.” This is classic Lenny at his finest. From the catchy rhythm section to Lenny’s sultry vocals, “The Chamber” will not disappoint. B+

Francesco Yates Call

Francesco Yates’s “Call” is my Song of the Week! (Single property of Atlantic Records)

“Call” by Francesco Yates

My Song of the Week and Rising Star of the Week goes to “Call” by Francesco Yates. The Toronto soul man brilliantly interpreted Matt Morris’s lyrics and thanks to the astonishing production skills of Pharrell Williams and Robin Hannibal, “Call” could challenge several beloved songs as “Song of the 2014 Summer!” A+
