Welcome to the latest edition of New Music Releases!

This week, several familiar faces dropped new tunes and I will introduce you to a band that you need to keep your eyes on.

First Kiss Kid Rock

Fans will rock out with Kid Rock’s latest studio album: “First Kiss.” (Album artwork property of Warner Bros. Records)

First Kiss by Kid Rock

Kid Rock recently dropped his tenth studio album! The passionate Detroit rocker had a huge resurgence thanks to his 2012 album: Rebel Soul. Because of the success of Rebel Soul, fans set their expectations very high for this album. They will not be disappointed with the material that is on this album. From the toe-tapping country rock tracks including “Good Times, Cheap Wine” and “Johnny Cash” to Mr. Rock’s protest-driven “Ain’t Enough Whiskey,” music lovers would be very satisfied with this album. Congratulations, Kid Rock…First Kiss is my Album of the Week! A+

Tracks to Download: “First Kiss,” “Good Times, Cheap Wine,” “Ain’t Enough Whiskey,” “Drinking Beer with Dad” & “Jesus & Bocephus”

Fan of a Fan by Chris Brown X Tyga

One of the greatest Hip-Hip/Rap collaborative albums of all-time is Jay-Z & Kanye West’s Watch the Throne. Since its 2011 release, many rappers are trying to emulate Watch the Throne’s success…but run into trouble convincing fans to download their albums. Fan of a Fan suffers the same fate as the recently released The Pink Print. Both Chris Brown and Tyga are two unique artists, however most listeners would be bored with a majority of the tracks. In addition, the producers did an atrocious job with the mixing! If you like listening to train wrecks, be my guest…otherwise, save your money! D

Track to Download: “I Bet

Invincible” by Kelly Clarkson

Next week, the original American Idol will drop her long-awaited seventh studio album. One of the highlights of the album would be the Sia Furler-Jesse Shatkin penned “Invincible.” This track showcases Clarkson’s ability to capture the imagination of the listener and her perfect vocal upper-register. Congrats, Ms. Clarkson! “Invincible” is one of my Songs of the Week! A

Wrong Guy” by Kin Cayo

Each week, Jake’s Take will be introducing you to a new artist or a group! This week’s group is Kin Cayo. The South Florida based quartet dropped their hypnotic Calypso rock single: “Wrong Guy.” Their hypnotic arrangement will transport the listener to their family of small islands in the Atlantic Ocean. They have a bright future ahead of them. A-

Nate Ruess Nothing Without Love

Nate Ruess’s beautiful “Nothing Without Love” is a powerful anthem that music lovers must have in their libraries! (Album cover property of Fueled By Ramen)

Nothing Without Love” by Nate Ruess

The former Fun front man unleashed his first solo single and “Holy Smokes!” did it strike a chord with me. I got chills up-and-down my body when I heard his superb voice and gospel rock drums that were sprinkled throughout the track. This song not only is the second Song of the Week, but it should also be played on the radio ASAP! A

I Want You To Know Zedd and Selena Gomez

I have a feeling that Zedd and Selena Gomez’s “I Want You To Know” is going to be a huge part of multiple playlists at high school proms across the country. (Album artwork property of Interscope Records)

I Want You To Know” by Zedd featuring Selena Gomez

Zedd and Selena Gomez are one of the hottest couples that Tiger Beat readers love to learn more about. However, the duo created one of the hippest club bangers of 2015. Between Zedd’s impressive beats and Selena’s sturdy vocals, “I Want You To Know” will definitely be a must play at proms across the country this spring. B+

I do not own the clips that are sprinkled throughout the article. They belong to the artists and their respective record labels.
