The Masked Singer: Season Four is back! After taking a break for the World Series, America’s favorite celebrity singing competition resumed! Tonight, fans were finally introduced to this season’s Group C.  This group contained Jellyfish, Broccoli, Lips, Mushroom, and the mysterious Squiggly Monster!

Which Masked Singer performers delivered a spectacular performance? Did panelists Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg correctly deduced their identities? Which performer joined Busta Rhymes, Brian Austin Green, and Mark Sanchez in the Season Four eviction club? Read on to find out!

After host Nick Cannon made his signature entrance and introduced the panel, it was time to get down to business. The mysterious Squiggly Monster was the first performer to face the panel. I was creeped out by the costume. His clues featured multiple cookies and a DJ table. He sang Creedance Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” I loved his voice, and I thought it was a country music artist under the monster costume. After the panelists’ First Impression guesses, the Squiggly Monster stated to spread peace and love. Robin thought it was a standup comedian (Ray Romano), while Jenny guessed Brad Garrett and added politician (Senator Al Franken). As Ken jokingly thought it was Dr. Fauci.

Mushroom Mask strutted out to the stage. They had lots of Hamilton references in her clue package. They sang a beautiful cover of Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work,” and thanks to my wonderful mom, Gloria, she guided me to Aaron Burr himself—Leslie Odom, Jr. Nicole thought it was Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anthony Ramos. Meanwhile, Ken guessed Usher. Jenny concluded the guessing round with Frank Ocean.

The Jellyfish Mask walked out to Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish.” Jenny called the costume “cool,” and Nicole loved the entrance. She had a tiara on and was a significant player in the party scene. She sang Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and I initially thought of Jessie J. Jenny predicted that she would be a “shocker” this season, and Robin hoped that they could watch her grow as a vocalist. Robin thought it was Gabby Douglas, while Ken thought of Awkwafina. Nicole thought it was Sofia Richie.

The Broccoli walked out to Coolio’s “Gangsta Paradise.” Clues include TikTol and a swing. He sang Jerry Lee Lewis’ “House is Rockin’”/”Whole Lotta Shaking.” His voice sounded like an industry veteran like Tony Danza. Broccoli stated that he believed in being healthy and ate lots of vegetables. Nicole guessed Bill Murray, while Jenny thought it was Howie Mandel. Robin thought it was Steve Guttenberg.

The Lips Mask was the final performer to sing. The Men in Black dragged her out from a couch to Meghan Trainor’s “Lips Are Moving.” She always spoke her mind and stated that there was a West Wing element in the clue package. I thought it was my favorite talk show host Wendy Williams because she sang a tribute to New York City. Nicole called her “unapologetic,” and Jenny called the performance “fun.” Robin thought it was Sandra Bernhard. However, both Jenny and Nicole suggested it was Wendy Williams.

Tonight, we had to say goodbye to Lips Mask! Nick revealed the first impression guesses. Ken thought it was Mariah Carey. He took back that guess and changed it to Allison Janney. Robin Thicke thought it was Sandra Bernhard and doubled down. Both Jenny and Nicole initially thought it was Wendy Williams and stood by their guesses.

The ladies were right…LIPS MASK was WENDY WILLIAMS!!!

Next week is the Group C finals!
