The Masked Singer: Season 11 celebrated classic TV theme songs! Tonight, Clock, Lizard, and Poodle Moth paid homage to some of the most iconic anthems in television history.  Also, Season 11’s first Wild Card performer, Sir Lion, roared his way into the competition. Did Sir Lion shake up the competition and eliminated an established performer? Who faced off in this week’s smackdown?  Did panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora correctly deduce the eliminated performer’s identity?

Read on to find out!

Clock Mask was up first tonight! Her pre-performance package contained additional clues, including the Mississippi River trail, a motor, and a piggy bank. She sang the Good Times theme song and again gave me chills. I still believe that Thelma Houston is still under the mask. Jenny guessed that Debbie Allen was Clock Mask due to being Isaac the Bartender’s girlfriend and winning a Golden Globe Award for Fame. Love Boat’s Jill Whalen presented the night’s first clue: a “love boat.” Robin guessed Stephanie Mills, while Jenny went for Debbie Allen. However, Ken’s outrageous guess about Janet Jackson being Clock Mask made Rita walk to another part of the set, and the audience booed him.

Poodle Moth Mask was the second Group C performer of the evening. Her pre-performance clue package was a lighthouse, a kitten, theater masks, fireflies, and “You are enough.” She chose Pepper (Natasha Bedingfield)’s “Unwritten,” which was The Hills’ theme song. Well, she is not Wynonna or Trisha Yearwood. The Hills’ Heidi and Spencer Pratt presented their clue, which was the Gilmore Girls theme song: “If You’ll Lead.” Ken suggested Melissa McCarthy due to her Gilmore Girls connection, but Jenny stated that it was not her cousin and thought it was Lauren Graham. Robin concluded the round with Connie Britton.

Lizard Mask’s pre-performance clue package contained clues such as animation, a wall of clocks, cowboy boots, and a brand-new toy. Lizard sang the Scoooby-Doo theme song. As a lifelong fan of Mr. Doo, this is the first time that I got chills from that iconic theme song. Scooby-Doo presented himself as the clue, and Lizard revealed that a dog had helped introduce him to a new audience. Ken stood by his original guess of Michael Bivins as he had a documentary that featured Snoop Dogg. He added that the post-performance clue – a brand new toy – made him think of New Edition. Jenny thought Lizard was Ray J because of the clock wall and his familiar connection to Snoop Dogg – they are cousins! Rita and Robin stood by their respective guess of Sisqo!

The Masked Singer: Season 11’s first Wild Card performer made his debut: Sir Lion, who hugged Nick Cannon. Sir Lion’s pre-performance package contained the following clues: radio, anchor, Tom Cruise, Jerry Seinfeld, Tom Hanks, and 30 Rockefeller Plaza. He sang Married with Children’s “Love and Marriage” as his selection, and I thought it was Jimmy Fallon. T-Rex Mask returned to the stage with a bone that stated “co-star” and was connected to Betty Rubble (Rosie O’Donnell). Robin thought it was Anderson Cooper, while Ken guessed Ryan Seacrest, and Rita added Andy Cohen into the mix.

The Masked Singer panel and audience voted to send Sir Lion and Lizard Mask into the smackdown! They sang The Who’s “Who Are You,” the show’s theme song, as tonight’s showdown theme. Lizard Mask came out swinging, but Sir Lion inserted some soul into the tune.

While the men hugged, the panel voted to advance Lizard Mask to the Group C Finals. Robin stood by his Anderson Cooper, while Ken suggested Ryan Seacrest. Rita stood by Andy Cohen and Jenny thought it was Seth Meyers.

SIR LION WAS…BILLY BUSH!!!
