Longtime Jake’s Take readers know that I am a super-duper fan of America’s Got Talent (AGT). I have watched AGT since I was entering my senior year at Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kansas.

Every summer, I enjoyed watching everyday people’s dreams coming true. I loved seeing people have their moment in the spotlight.  There were standouts that elevated acrobatics, comedy, dance, and music to new heights, while others’ dreams came crashing down thanks to three (and later four) buzzers.

When I started Jake’s Take, I began recapping AGT during its seventh season where Howard Stern started his AGT journey and Sharon Osbourne bowed out after six years. I remembered being in awe of Andrew De Leon’s first audition and seeing William Close introduce the world to the Earth Harp.  I never imagined that this platform would let me talk with a majority of fan-favorite acts or allow me to cover the 2016 AGT: Season 11 auditions in Kansas City.

As AGT approached its fifteenth anniversary season, I started the process of creating the ultimate Top 50 acts. I decided to take some of my selections from both the 2019 greatest AGT music acts of all-time and this year’s 2020 greatest variety acts of all-time. I also wanted to incorporate Season 14 by adding several of that season’s top acts that made an impact on the show.

If you have missed my YouTube livestream, here it is where I revealed the Top 50 AGT acts of all-time:
