While you might only have five more days to grab gifts for your loved ones, it is never too early to think about what DC Comics has in store for its fans this coming March.

Without further ado, Jake’s Take has a preview of some of the “Must Read” titles of March 2016!

Action Comics celebrates 975 issues

Action Comics will celebrate a significant milestone in March! The 975th issue of Action Comics will be part two of the upcoming storyline: “Superman Reborn.” Writer Dan Jurgens and the creative team of Doug Mahnke and Jaime Mendoza’s main story will deal with the ongoing mystery of the connection between the pre-Flashpoint Superman and Clark Kent.  Plus, Paul Dini, the legendary co-creator of the DC Animated Universe,  will join forces with veteran Superman artist Ian Churchill on a back-up story that will focus on the Son of Superman. The 975th issue is scheduled to drop on March 8.

The Mad Hatter returns

One of Batman’s uncanny adversaries, Mad Hatter, comes back to take on the Dark Knight. Celebrated Batman scribe Scott Snyder and the art team of Giuseppe Camuncoli and Mark Morales promise fans a mind-bending battle between the two adversaries in the eighth issue of All-Star Batman.  Make sure you pick up the issue on March 8!

A Bat Family Love Triangle reignites

Batgirl & The Birds of Prey’s eighth issue will reexamine the infamous Barbara Gordon-Dick Grayson-Helena Bertinelli love triangle. Nightwing returns to Gotham City to face some of the world’s deadliest assassins. But when he gets severely injured, can Batgirl and the Huntress overcome their differences to help their ex-lover?  Find out on March 8, when creative team Julie Benson, Shawna Benson, and Roge Antonio unleashes the eighth issue of Batgirl & The Birds of Prey!

Batwoman flies solo once again

For the second time in her 10-year history, Batwoman will once again fly solo in her second ongoing series. Writers Marguerite Bennett and James Tynion IV team up with former Captain America artist Steve Epting for a new chapter in Kate Kane’s life. In the series’ inaugural arc, Batwoman must return to the island nation of Coryana, where she must fight her away against its underworld to retrieve a deadly new bioweapon.  The first issue is scheduled to drop on March 15.

Arrow & Arsenal-Together Again: 

Green Arrow and Arsenal are reunited for the first time since pre-Flashpoint! The Star City hero and his protégé patrolled together until an explosive conflict dissolved their partnership. What events brought the two archers back together? Are there still issues that the duo need to address? Green Arrow creative team Benjamin Percy and guest artist Eleonora Carlini will dive into this story in issue 18 on March 1.

JLA versus The Extremists

The new JLA headed by Batman is about to face the first adversaries: classic DC Comics villains Lord Havok and the Extremists. With billions of lives at stake, Batman and his team must face this group in their recently conquered country. How will this newly formed team face off against this dangerous group? The Justice League of America creative team of Steve Orlando, Ivan Reis, and Joe Prado will present part two and part three of this storyline on March 8 and March 29 respectfully.

Dark Knight III: Master Race returns

After taking a couple of months off, The Dark Knight III-Master Race drops its eighth issue! In the latest chapter of the Frank Miller & Brian Azzarello penned tale, Wonder Woman and her Amazon warriors must defend Themyscira from a Kryptonian army. Will they be successful? Find out when issue eight drops on March 29.

The Mighty Morphin’ Justice League

Part Three of the DC Comics and BOOM Comics crossover showcases what happens when Brainiac and Lord Zedd trade dance partners. Can the Justice League survive Lord Zedd’s onslaught? How will Angel Grove deal with the terror of Brainiac? Find out when Justice League/Power Rangers #3 drops on March 8.
