It is a thrill to welcome actor and singer Robert Palmer Watkins as the first guest of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast for 2022!

Robert caught the acting bug early on, beating out hundreds of teens to portray Danny Zuko in the Barksdale Theater’s production of Grease. After studying musical theater at Christopher Newport University for two years, he moved to Los Angeles and graduated from Hollywood’s prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

After graduation, Robert auditioned and booked his first two guest-starring roles on Spike’s 1000 Ways to Die and Lifetime’s My Crazy Ex. He also appeared on the web series Sketch Juice, the feature film Back to Awesome, and Cinemax’s The Girl’s Guide to Depravity. Robert gained a new group of fans when he joined ABC’s long-running soap opera General Hospital as Dillon Quartermaine, the son of one of the show’s iconic characters – Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott). He appeared on the daytime drama from 2015 to 2017 for 191 episodes.

Robert also starred in two action thrillers – Last Three Days and Puncture. He also starred in two pilots: Cupid’s Match (the titular role) and Green Valley (Eddie Escovedo). Recently, he appeared on AMC’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond, where he portrayed Lt. Frank Newton. In addition to his acting roles, Robert releases music under the moniker PALMER.

In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Robert Palmer Watkins spoke about the lessons he learned from his time on the sets of General Hospital and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. He also talked about the stories behind his songs: “Clean Cut,” “Waiting,” and his recent single: “Walking Dead.”
