I am honored and thrilled to welcome one of my generation’s top entertainers, actress-singer Christina Bianco, to Jake’s Take.

Christina Bianco became a household name thanks to her sensational diva impersonations. Many people saw her channel Amy Winehouse, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Kristin Chenoweth, and Liza Minnelli singing Katy Perry’s “Firework” when she posted it on February 22, 2012. While Christina started getting recognition, it was not until August 22, 2013, when she sang Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” In this video, she showcased her talents to Feinstein’s 54Below audience, and her impeccable talent caught nationwide attention. She appeared on various television programs such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Meredith Vieira Show, and the second incarnation of The Queen Latifah Show.

But before she became viral for her pitch-perfect impressions, Christina Bianco impressed audiences in both New York City and on the West End. She received two Drama Desk Award nominations for performances in Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab and the one-woman show: Application Pending. She also originated the role of Dora the Explorer in the nationwide tour of Dora the Explorer Live, which included two sold-out runs at Radio City Music Hall.

Christina Bianco is also a regular at some of New York City’s most recognizable music venues, including the Birdland Jazz Club, Feinstein’s 54Below, and the Town Hall. Plus, she also had performances at several celebrated venues in the United Kingdom, including the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, the Charing Cross Theatre, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

For the twenty-fifth milestone episode of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, I sat down with Christina for an impeccable conversation. We talked about some of my favorite impersonations, performing as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, and the recording process of her 2018 album: Life of the Party.
