The 2015 New York Comic Con (NYCC) is here!

For all of the hundreds of thousands of pop culture aficionados, the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center is going to be one happening place.

While I will be looking at my social media feed with envy over the next four days (Next year in NYC!), I hope that Jake’s Take can assist you on what panels you should attend over the next four days!

Here are some of the panels…that you should be at for the first full day of New York Comic Con:

Dragon Ball Z invades NYCC

FUNimation Presents: “Dragon Ball Z” & Beyond (11:15-12:15 p.m.; Room 1A05)

Are you ready to summon Shenron? The voice actors of Goku (Sean Schemmel) and Vegeta (Christopher Sabet) will talk about the hit anime’s history, revival and the upcoming anime series, Dragon Ball Super, at the panel!

AMC’s Comic Book Men (12:15-1:15 p.m.; Empire Stage 1-E)

One of the AMC’s hottest series returns to NYCC! Comic Book Men stars Kevin Smith, Walter Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, Michael Zapcic and Ming Chen will preview the upcoming fifth season of their hit unscripted series at 12:15 p.m. Make sure that you grab your spot in line, because NYCC will not let in anyone who walks in late into the room.  

Game of Thrones: A Panel of Fire & Ice (4-5 p.m.; Empire Stage 1-E)

Want to meet some of Game of Thrones’ biggest villains? Actors Finn Jones, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Natalie Dormer will talk about their experience on HBO’s biggest show of all-time and drop hints on what might be happening in Westros during the show’s sixth season.

DC Super Hero Girls (5:30-6:30 p.m.; Room 1B03)

Are you a fan of Batgirl, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn or Poison Ivy? Then, check out the DC Super Hero Girls panel. Representatives from DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Mattel will share the upcoming universe with fans at this panel.  Also, keep an eye out for several voice actors who might just pop in to surprise fans!

WBTV Preview Night Screenings (7:15-9:30 p.m.; Main Stage 1-D)

For the past four years, Warner Bros. Television has been on a row with their superhero/sci-fi shows! Tonight, the Hollywood heavyweight will share three clips from some of their most highly anticipated shows including CBS’s Supergirl, CW’s Containment and the highly anticipated spin-off from both the Arrow & Flash universe: Legends of Tomorrow! Make sure you grab a wristband…otherwise you are going to miss the party!
