Jake’s Take On…. Comic-Con International 2014: Saturday

Saturdays are normally one of the busiest and most exciting days at any comic book convention!

However, expect the energy to be off the charts during this year’s show!

Here are several huge panels that must be on your schedule:

The Simpsons San Diego Comic Con

The Simpsons (10 to 10:45 a.m.; Ballroom 20)

FOX’s iconic animated series is celebrating their 25th anniversary! Creator Matt Groening, Executive Producer Al Jean, Supervising Director Mike Anderson and David Silverman will be on hand for the festivities! The quartet will be previewing this year’s Treehouse of Horror and a certain patriarch might stop by to say “Hello!” to the guests!

Warner Bros. Pictures (10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Hall H)

If The Simpsons do not interest you, perhaps the future of Warner Brothers films might be a good alternative! The iconic film studio will preview several of a trio of their upcoming films: Jupiter Ascending, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies! Keep an eye out for some of the actors who might be attending this panel!

 

Elsa invades "Once Upon A Time"

Once Upon A Time (11:00 to 11:45 a.m.; Ballroom 20)

Frozen’s Elsa will be coming to Storybrooke this fall! Will her appearance cause problems for Rumpbelle? Meanwhile, will Regina go back to her old ways and go on a one-woman-war against Emma? Find out when Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Emilie de Ravin, Robert Carlyle, Josh Dallas, Jared Gilmore and Colin O’Donoghue join Once’s co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to preview the fourth season!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 30th Anniversary (2:00 to 3:00 p.m.; Room 23ABC)

Cowabunga, dude! Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year! Fans are invited to join Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman plus several of your favorite actors as they pay tribute to all things TMNT!

Marvel Avengers Now female Thor

Marvel: Cup O’ Joe (2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Room 6BCF)

Do you have questions about Falcon as the new Captain America, the new female Thor or the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three? Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada will answer your questions and tease new projects along with Axel Alonso, C.B. Cebulski, Nick Lowe, Jordan D. White and Dan Slott at this panel!

The Wonderful World of ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic (3:30 to 4:45 p.m.; Horton Grand Theatre)

For four decades, master satirist ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic has offered his takes on some of music’s greatest songs! The Mandatory Fun artist will lead a discussion and fan Q&A, while promoting his new album!

DC Entertainment: Batman 75th Anniversary (4:00 to 5:00 p.m.; Room 6BCF)

The Batman 75th Anniversary reaches its climax! Several of Batman’s greatest creators and actors including Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Kevin Conroy will honor the crime fighter along with some surprise guests!

 

Ant-Man SDCC
