Jake’s Take always presents its readers with new talent! One musical group that I have my eye on are The Accidentals.

The Accidentals are made up of multi-instrumentalists Katie Larson, Savannah Buist, and Michael Dause. The Traverse City, Michigan folk-rock trio has been building up a strong fan base amongst critics and music fans.  The trio was named one of Billboard’s Breakout Bands at the 2015 South by Southwest (SXSW), and it took home Traverse Mag/MyNorth.com’s Red Hot Best Band for four years in a row!  Also, the Accidentals have opened for artists such as Andrew Bird, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and the Wailers.  In addition, NPR stated that the band “know all about using finesse, and fun, to make an impact.”

Earlier this summer, the Sony Masterworks-signed trio released their latest album: Odyssey. Jake’s Take is privileged to share the excellent music video for the album’s title track. The band’s impeccable sound will put a smile on your face, and I genuinely believe that this talented trio is going places.
