Once again, Jake’s Take had the incredible opportunity to visit the America’s Got Talent (AGT) virtual press room after the show went off the air from the Dolby Theatre.  Here are some of the highlights:

Eyes on the Finale:

All the remaining acts were one step closer to get to the AGT: Season 16 finale. However, their fates were in the hands of the show’s fans. The acts told me exclusively what being voted into the finals would mean to them.

“When you think back to the auditions or even the quarterfinals, and you think of the type of talents that have been in Season 16. Thinking back to that, and there is a chance that I might in the finale, it means everything,” said singer Brooke Simpson. “It’s not other singers that I am up against. It is the best of the best in every field. I am just honored to be in the number, and I hope that America finds me worthy of being in the finale.”

“The final performance that we are preparing is the one that we want to show to America,” said Kenichi Ebina, who founded UniCircle Flow. “Again, it is different from the past three times, and they are going to go beyond the human level of performance.”

“I think it would be an amazing opportunity (to be voted into the finale),” said Emanuel Remilus, a member of Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer act – the Northwell Health Nurses Choir. “We are nurses, not professional singers, and the fact that we get to represent nursing on such a huge stage and bring the message of hope to the rest of the world is an amazing honor. We are so excited to be here and would be happy to be in the finals.”

“Being voted into the finale would mean the world to us,” said ChapKidz member Sarah Phoenix. “We never thought we would make this far, so being able to make it to the finale would be such an opportunity.”

“It would mean absolutely everything,” said mentalist Peter Antoniou. “As a kid, I dreamed about having a Vegas show. I was obsessed with it. Having the opportunity to compete for that and the chance to redeem my few psychic missteps tonight and to showcase my skills, it would be everything I could dream of.”

“If I had the opportunity to go to the final, it would be like a dream come true.” said quick-change artist Lea Kyle, who is Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer act.

“It would mean so much to me to be voted into the finale,” said Victory Brinker, the 9-year-old opera singer who made AGT history as the first group Golden Buzzer.

The Judges & Terry Crews’ Hopes For The Season 16 Finals

As AGT’s sixteenth season heads to the home stretch, Heidi Klum had several acts she wanted to see in the finale. Still, the fashion entrepreneur and television personality hoped that America would advance her Golden Buzzer act to the finale.

“I definitely think she (Lea Kyle) deserves it,” said Heidi Klum. “She is an amazing quick-change artist. It is super entertaining to watch her. It is not an act that we see all the time. We do see a lot of magicians, singers, and aerialists. I love them all too, but we hardly see a quick-change artist. I think she is special in that sense.”

Host Terry Crews made his Jake’s Take debut as he revealed that not only was he excited for the finale, but we almost did even have AGT: Season 16.

“This (the finale) is a culmination of so many great acts,” said Terry Crews. “Simon (Cowell) even mentioned tonight that we almost had to cancel the season and to come up with a show that was bigger and better, and now Simon’s back, it’s just absolutely incredible. I am looking forward to everyone bringing their A-game.”

Crews also noticed the number of times that the Got Talent creator pressed his buzzer. Comedian Kabir Singh, mentalist Peter Antoniou, and the hand-balancing act Rialcris all received the harsh red X from the veteran judge.

“You could tell that tonight that Simon was not having any B-class performances,” said Crews.

For veteran judge Howie Mandel, reaching the end of the season is bittersweet.

“I am starting to get a little sad now. I don’t like the finale,” said Howie Mandel. “Even if it’s a must-see event and I would still tune into it if I was a viewer, but the fact that one act goes through kills me.  I believe that more than one act at any given night is worthy of the million-dollar prize. Saying goodbye to everyone is hard but also realizing the dream of whoever is chosen as the winner of Season 16 by America has us on pins and needles.”

Deadly Games + Duo Transcend Preview Vegas

Whoever wins AGT’s sixteenth season will win the show’s grand prize of $1 million and a spot in the show’s very first official Vegas residency. The winner will have the opportunity to perform with a luminary list of alums, including AGT: Season 11 semifinalists and America’s Got Talent: The Champions – Season One finalists Deadly Games and AGT: Season 13 finalists + America’s Got Talent – Season Two runners-up Duo Transcend. I spoke to the quartet about the upcoming residency, which will make its debut on November 4 at the Luxor Las Vegas.

“I think it is going to be a fantastic show,” said Mary Wolfe-Nielsen of Duo Transcend. “and we get work with these guys (pointing at Deadly Games). There are a lot of fans of America’s Got Talent, so I think people will be excited about seeing their favorite acts live.”

AGT has changed our lives so much,” said Tyce Nielsen of Duo Transcend. “It is so cool to experience these life-changing shows and moments. We are just unbelievably excited to be a part of this.”

“I am not going to lie, I have missed AGT a lot,” said Alfredo Silva of Deadly Games. “People stop you on the streets and say: “Hey Deadly Games! Let’s take a picture together!” I miss those interactions with fans. Thanks to the show, we have been performing around the world, including in China and Dubai. But coming back to Vegas, where we are based and performing at the AGT Live Show is a dream come true.”

Tonight, AGT will name the final set of finalists! Will your favorites join Aidan Bryant, Dustin Tavella, Gina Brillon, Jimmie Herrod, and the World Taekwondo Demonstration Team in the Season 16 finale?
