By: Jacob Elyachar, jakes-take.com

2022 is almost over! Some incredible music was released this year, and Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar is releasing its official favorites playlist. This year’s list features tunes ranging from snappy originals to iconic rearrangements of original songs. We also have outstanding collaborations that range from Britney Spears and Sir Elton John’s “Hold Me Closer” and Ozzy Osbourne and Eric Clapton’s “One of Those Days” to Babyface and Kehlani’s “Seamless” and Jimmie Allen and Jennifer Lopez’s “on my way.”

Half of this list contains Reality TV alums. The Got Talent franchise has seven representatives in this countdown, including Canada’s Got Talent: Season Two winner Jeanick FournierAmerica’s Got Talent (AGT) has the most alumni represented in this grouping. Kehlani (who appeared on AGT: Season Six with Poplyfe), the NDLOVU Youth Choir (AGT: Season 14), and the Curtis Family C-Notes (AGT: Season 16) made the cut. Rounding out this group are Drake Milligan (Third Place Finalist), Chapel Hart (Grand Finalists), and Travis Japan (Fan favorite semifinalists), who competed on AGT: Season 17.

Meanwhile, several coaches from The Voice USA made the list. OG coach CeeLo Green (Seasons one through three and five) teamed up with Eminem for “The King & I” from the Elvis soundtrack, while Season 12 champion Alicia Keys’s holiday tune “December Back 2 June” is featured. The first American Idol champion and Emmy-winning talk show host Kelly Clarkson’s cover of “Queen of the Night” was featured. She will return to The Voice next season, replacing outgoing coach and X Factor USA finalist Camila Cabello, whose duet with Ed Sheeran: “Bam Bam,” made the cut.

While we are on the subject of the “Meaning of Life” singer-songwriter, she also co-hosted the American Song Contest earlier this year. Three recording artists who competed on the show made the cut, including the legendary Michael Bolton (“Beautiful World”), Christian Pagan (“LOKO”), and Jake’s Take friend John Morgan (“Right in the Middle”).

Speaking of Jake’s Take friends, several podcast guests Carleton Stone, Cas Weinbren, Frankie Zulferino, reality TV legend Jon Brennan, and VeeAlwaysHere’s tunes have made the playlist!
