(Singing voice) “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” The 2016 San Diego Comic-Con is this weekend, and thousands of pop culture aficionados are about ready to dive into the pop culture pool!

As always, Jake’s Take offers every San Diego Comic-Con attendee (and wannabe attendees) a guide to the hottest panels that will have everyone talking.

10:15 AM Teen Titans Go! Video Presentation & Q&A (Room 6DE)

When I visited WonderCon earlier this year, I went to the Teen Titans Go panel, and it was probably one of the most memorable panels outside of the DC Rebirth reveal. Teen Titans Go! Producers Aaron Horvath and Pete Michail will join voice actors Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Scott Menville (Robin), Khary Payton (Cyborg) and Tara Strong (Raven) to reveal what hi-jinks await fans the next time they visit Titan Tower.

11:15 AM Happy Happy Joy Joy (Room 6A)

Calling all old school Nickelodeon fans! The creators of Hey Arnold, Invader Zim, Fairly OddParents, Rugrats, Rocket Power and The Wild Thornberrys are coming together for one exclusive conversation.  Nick animation podcast host Hector Navarro will talk with celebrated animators Craig Bartlett, Jhonen Vasquez, Butch Hartman and Arlene Klasky about the legacies of these famous cartoons. Also, Bartlett might share some previews of the upcoming 2017 Hey Arnold movie.

11:45 AM Snowden (Hall H)

Legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone will make his very first San Diego Comic-Con appearance. The director along with actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, and Zachary Quinto will give fans an inside look into their September 2016 biographical, political thriller.

12:00 PM Justice League Action Video Presentation (Room 25ABC)

The Justice League is back! Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation are taking viewers on the ride of their life as DC’s trinity (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) recruit their fan-favorite allies to take on the forces of evil! Producers Butch Lukic and Alan Burnett will join voice actors Diedrich Bader and the one and only Kevin Conroy to tease fans about the latest chapter in DC Animated Universe history.

2:00 PM DC: One-on-One with Paul Dini (Room 6DE)

One of DC Entertainment’s greatest creators, Paul Dini, will be spotlighted at the San Diego Comic-Con! The co-creator of Harley Quinn and countless episodes of Batman: The Animated Series is expected to talk about his latest graphic novel: Dark Night-A True Batman Story and might answer a few fan questions at this panel.

3:00 PM NBC’s The Good Place: World Premiere Screening and Q&A (Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront)

Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are back on TV! The fan-favorite actors star in the new comedy The Good Place that follows the misadventures of Eleanor Shellstrop (Bell) as she unexpectedly finds herself in the afterlife and she must make up for all of her misdeeds with the help of her new mentor (Danson). Both stars and series’ executive producer Michael Schur and director Drew Goddard are expected to take fans’ questions at this not miss panel.

Cyclops Death of X San Diego Comic Con

4:00 PM Marvel: Death of X (Room 5AB)

A lot of comic book fans have been complaining about Marvel ignoring the X-Men franchise for the Inhumans. One story that might explain the tension between these two heavy hitters is the upcoming mini-series Death of X. Hopefully, this series will account for the absence of several X-Men such as Cyclops, Emma Frost, Havok, and Polaris and why Beast is working with the Inhumans.

6:00 PM USA Network’s Mr. Robot-Panel Discussion with the Cast (Room 6BCF)

USA Network’s breakout series Mr. Robot is nominated for 6 Emmy Awards and recently won 2 Golden Globes and a Peabody Award! The series is making their San Diego Comic-Con debut and its bringing several cast members such as Emmy-nominated Rami Malek, Golden Globe-winning actor Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, and season 2 newcomer Grace Gummer to the party!
