In eight days, the second season of the U.S. Edition of The X Factor kicks off!

While the show’s hosts have been not been announced, superstars Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will be joining show creator and Executive Producer Simon Cowell and Epic Records Chairman L.A. Reid on the show’s judging panels.

Here are four reasons why this upcoming season of The X Factor is going to rock:

X Factor: Rebirth

While season one produced incredible talent including LeRoy Bell, Rachel Crow, Chris Rene and last season’s eventual winner: Melanie Amaro, this season has a whole new vibe about it that will capture viewers hearts once again.    Even though the X Factor has some competition this time around, this new energy will be imperative to the success of season two and its ability to reign supreme in the singing competition showdown.

Britney and Demi on the panel

Probably one of the greatest casting announcements of this year was global superstar Britney Spears joining Simon and L.A. on the panel.   Over her three-decade career, she has won a Grammy, multiple MTV and Billboard Music awards, released 34 singles and sold over 100 million albums.   What we have seen from previews, Britney is going to perfectly mix constructive criticism with praise, which is going to be what this show needs.

Rounding out the panel is the youngest reality T.V. judge ever: Demi Lovato.  Millions of people around the world have fallen in love with her music, films and fashion sense.   By having Demi on the panel, she will be the equivalent of the X Factor UK’s Tulisa Controstavlos, who is the youngest judge on the panel.  To see how Britney and Demi they describe themselves as judges, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE5C_TV4Oys&feature=share&list=PL7FC5EF7419C43D32

The talent

One of the main reasons why I watch singing competition shows like The X Factor is that it shows ordinary people who want to become superstars and have talent audition for their dream.   There is no-show like The X Factor that lets people from the ages of 12 to 112 audition for their dream.    It does not matter if you had always performed in your school’s talent show or a session singer trying to break out, the X Factor lets them live their dream and gain new fans on this journey.

The prize

What makes The X Factor USA stand tall against its competitors is probably the reward its eventual winner receives: a $5,000,000 recording contract.   This reward is the highest reward that anyone on any competitive reality T.V. show will ever receive.   In order to win this prize, they must win over the judges/mentors and convince America through their incredible vocal abilities.

The second season of The X Factor USA will premiere on September 12, 2012 at 8/7 p.m. Central on FOX.
