This is it, America!

Tonight, the entire American Idol XIII Top 30 was revealed!

Who else joined Andrina Brogden, Bria Anai, Dexter Roberts, Alex Preston, Emmanuel Zidor, Jessica Meuse, Jillian Jensen, George Lovett, Jordan Brisbane, Malcolm Allen, Kristen O’Connor, M.K. Nobilette, Maurice Townsend, Sam Woolf, Malaya Watson and Spencer Lloyd in the finalists’ circle?  Read on to find out…

Before we got to announce any new Idol contenders, there was one little issue at hand.  Last night, the judges called both Alabama natives C.J. Harris and Casey Thrasher to the Final Judgment Room.  Both men had to sing for their lives and both of them made it to the Top 30!

Marrielle Sellers lost count of how many spots were left in the girls’ category.  But before she could recount, Ryan called her to face the judges. For her final solo, she sang “Wrecking Ball” better than Miley! However, Harry told her that her Hollywood Week was inconsistent but her performances were able to capture her a spot in the Top 30.

During Hollywood Week, Jena Asciutto stole several rounds and caped off the solo round with an original song.  The judges rewarded her efforts with a spot in the Top 30.  Caleb Johnson rocked the Dolby Theatre with a monstrous “Radioactive.” (Please record a duet with Will Champlin on this song, Caleb) the judges thought he was a Rock of Ages character. Despite questioning his ability to be a good singer, Harry stated that he does belong in the competition as part of the Top 30.

Mini-Donny Osmond (oops…Ethan Harris) had tons of bumps in the road at Hollywood Week. During his final solo, he gutted Lonestar’s “Amazed.” However, the judges were able to overlook it and gave him a spot…Really? Over two-time auditionee David Willis? Shame on you, judges! I will be very difficult with my critiques on Ethan going forward!

But I am beyond excited to see Majesty Rose make it to the Top 30! She is definitely a star in the making! With the right song choices, she will be a force to be reckoned with during the competition. I also think that Briston Mahoney (with time and practice) could be a star.  Good luck with Rush Week, Briston!

After hi-jinks in the elevator, powerhouses Brandy Neeley and Briana Oakley faced the music together.  Both girls gave strong final solos and were standouts during Hollywood Week.  Keith gave them the good news that both returnees would be performing for America’s votes next week!

The last two ladies standing were Sandie Lee and Austin Wolfe. The judges sent Austin through to the Top 30 while Sandie home. In an Idol first, the judges asked America to vote in the last guy.  Giving America the choice between average Ben Briley and the astonishing Neco Starr.
