In this second edition of Ashton’s Monthly Recap, you catch up on all of the events that our favorite DJ participated in and find out what are his plans are for both St. Patrick’s Day and Fake Paddy’s Day.

February 2013 Highlights

Go Red Party at RA

Ashton’s first big party of February was the Go Red Party at RA’s Leawood location on February 5.  Over 200 people joined Ashton to support the America Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.

Saki with Friends

Four days later, Ashton spun at the Saki with Friends event at the beautiful and spacious 28th Street Event Space.   This event benefited the Children’s Therapeutic Center’s Saki with Friends and it also marked Ashton’s third time playing at the 28th Street Event Space, where according to him: “It was the best I have ever seen it look.”

Anheuser-Busch’s Bud Light Black debut party

After successfully spinning the Bud Light Platinum Release Party at the Midland Theatre by AMC last year, Ashton was asked back to provide the music for the Bud Light Black debut party.   This five-hour event saw a lot of come-and-go traffic as multiple guests including bar owners, executives and restaurateurs partied to Ashton’s beats.

The 4th Annual Anti-Valentine’s Party at Sol Cantina

Over 300 people came to Sol Cantina at Martini Corner to the 4th Annual Anti-Valentine’s Day Party.  While they were dining, drinking and commiserating over lost loves, Ashton spun out some of the hottest love/anti-love songs throughout the evening.

Broken-Hearts, Broken Records Party at the Pourhouse

Southern Comfort brought Ashton to Minneapolis to play at the Pourhouse.  It was Ashton’s largest audience of the month as over 1,000 people attended his set, which sold out the spot.    He also wants to give a Big Shout Out to Cat Lovely for making this experience possible.

Ernie Biggs’ Farewell Bash

For over three years, DJ Highnoone, DJ Parlé, DJ CMAC and Ashton, have spun at Ernie Biggs consistently holding it down every week.   They joined with 10 plus other DJs to celebrate an end of an era at Ernie Biggs on February 19, 2013.   “With everybody’s combined efforts, we had a fun free-for-all and each DJ got to throw down for a few minutes and it worked out.  I think I speak on everyone’s behalf, when I say: “We appreciate all the support from the locals keeping Tuesday Nights alive over the years.  Thank You.”

Coming in March 2013

Fake Patty’s Day/St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Ashton will be celebrating both Fake Patty’s Day and Saint Patrick’s Day in March.   He will be traveling with DJ Highnoone, DJ Parlé and DJ Lazer to Johnny Kaw’s Sports Bar in Aggieville for an all-day event on March 9.    Then, Ashton will be spinning at Sol Cantina’s pre-St. Patrick’s Day party on March 16 and will be doing double duty on St. Patrick’s Day, where he will be providing music for O’Dowd’s on the Plaza in the early afternoon and the Well on Sunday evening.
