Last night, the last group of quarterfinalists left it all on the Radio City Music Hall stage.

Tonight, we learned which four acts were sent straight through to the Semifinals and the last two acts, whose fates would be decided by the judges (Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and future X Factor UK judge Mel B).

Whose dreams of superstardom survived? Whose dreams were shattered (for now…)? Read on to find out…

After last night’s recap, which featured exploding cards, two singing judges (Heidi Klum and Mel B) and Smoothini’s smooth magic moves, Nick stated that he would do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge naked and convinced Heidi to join him! Scary Spice added that she was convinced that AGT is one of the best TV shows in the entire world. (I wonder if she is going to say that when The X Factor UK airs?)

But…before they learned their fates, the contestants hung out at the Reddi Wip After Party! While they had fun and showed off their talents in the room, it was time to get down to business! The first acts to hear the news was Emil and Dariel, Extreme and Dom the Bom’s Triple Threat. The cellists became the first cello act in the history of AGT to make it to the Semifinals.

The next two acts to face the results were Jonah Smith and the Bad Boys of Ballet! These opposite acts were two of the best acts of the night and it was tough to figure out…which act was going through! That is, until Nick revealed that Jonah Smith was going to the next round.

Child singer Quintavious Johnson (who delivered one of the best covers of “And I Am Telling You” in the history of Reality TV) was the third act to make it to the Semifinals! I have a feeling that he is the Howard Stern era’s Jackie Evancho and I hope he delivers in the next round.

For the second week in a row, Taylor Williamson returned to the show to announce that he was auditioning for Japan’s Got Talent and compared himself to a Kardashian. He has a wonderful sense of humor! Taylor, please come on my blog…would love to interview you!

As Taylor left the stage, Nick revealed the first group of semifinalists that will be taking the stage next week! Some of my favorites including Aerial Animation, Andrey Moraru, David & Leeman, Emily West and Paul Ieti will return to the stage to prove they have what it takes to get to the finale! In addition, fans will be able to vote on both Tuesday and during Wednesday’s show, if their favorites were in danger of being eliminated!

The next duo to face the results were Smoothini and Rola bola balancing act Jonatan Riquelme! After the King of All Media gave his two cents of advice, Smoothini was revealed to grab the last spot. The only judge that praised his act, Howie, was pleased with the result.

This left, One Voice Children’s Choir, contortionist Nina Burri and second chance singer Kelli Glover up for the Judges’ Choice. Unfortunately, Nina Burri was eliminated from consideration. In the final nail-biting seconds of the show, Scary Spice, Howard and Howie decided to give the ultimate second chance to Kelli Glover.

Next week, the Semifinals of Season Nine begin!
